CrapApple is a collaboration between cider enthusiast, Adam, family, local people and artists.

Adam
Adam (we’ve changed his name to protect his identity) was brought up in The Garden of England. Not a literal garden, rather a small village in Kent. Rural life wasn’t exactly tough, to be fair, and most of his time was quintessentially English: cricket in the park – that sort of stuff. A huge contrast to the music scene of New York ‘90s hip-hop and UK Britpop that inspired him.
There was however an abundance of apples and scrumping was where village kids got their kicks. No matter whether they were cookers or eaters; come September they’d get hit!
Fast forward to his early twenties and that love for music continued while performing with gadget rock band Digital Fish, before he partnered in launching an independent music venue supporting new, emerging artists to break through.
Now, Adam has retired from the music industry to hone his cider-making skills and describes himself as a serial scrumper who hates to see waste.

Artist: Tim
In the late 2000s they were awarded the prestigious Arken Prize, and received Honorary Doctorates of Art from Nottingham Trent University, their former college, in acknowledgement of their ‘remarkable and provocative creations’.
Both Adam and Tim share a love for making things out of discarded stuff, so formed a collaboration with Adam sourcing and refining the cider and Tim handling the artwork.
